Lynnwood Station will be a Link Light Rail station as part of the North Corridor High Capacity Transit (HCT) Project, which is an extension of the North Link, operated by Sound Transit. It was approved as part of the Sound Transit 2 ballot measure in November, 2008, and is scheduled to open in 2023. Lynnwood Station will be located next to the Lynnwood Transit Center in Lynnwood, Washington along the northwestern corner of Interstate 5 and 44th Ave. W. A parking garage (making a total of about 1,900 spaces), additional bus transfer space, and road and pedestrian improvements will be constructed because Lynnwood Transit Center is one of the largest and busiest transit centers in Snohomish County.
